Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with a few other families.  It was so nice to share such great food and company!  The kids all had fun playing together and the adults too :)  And as we drove home we realized we were there for 8 1/2 hours!  Thanks Jensens for putting up with us ALL day!

Ryan's Birthday

Happy 7th Birthday Ryan!

For his birthday he got a fun surprise:

SNOW!

While he was at school, I prepared

I wanted a lego minifigure cake mom- whoops

Then at school he got to celebrate:

We had pizza for dinner.  Then presents and cake.

For Ryan's 7th birthday, he wanted to go bowling as a family.  We had a blast at Perfect Games and it was great just having the family so we could all have a fun time together.  What a great idea Ryan!

Well, another year older, but Ryan you HAVE to stop growing up!

Fall is Falling

The boys do chores each week and if they do them all without complaining they get an allowance.  The boys had a few days off school and Neal told them if they raked leaves they could earn more money.  The boys were so excited to do it, unfortunately we have a ton of leaves and it took us 2-3 hours to just rake the side of our yard.  And to make matters worse, our neighbor's tree lost all it's leaves the next day leaving even more leaves all over the lawn, so we will have to do this all over again.  And again later when our oak tree loses its leaves.  Never ending...

They were proud of the big pile they raked:

Aren't they cute!  And they'll get to do it again!

So things have been really busy around here.  In fact I've been pretty stressed.  I keep telling myself, 'just get through this month, next will be better' and then the next month is even busier.  So then I had the hope that next year after the holidays would be less chaotic.  Well now that hope is dashed.  Neal has a new calling!  He got called to be a high councilor.  I keep teasing him that now he is officially an old man :)  But with my calling as young women's president I have a feeling that we are just at the beginning of a very busy year.  Yikes!  Congrats though old-man Neal ;)

Halloween

This year we had trunk or treat on Wednesday and Trick or Treating (Beggar's Night) on Thursday.  I think the teachers were really scared about sugar loaded kids because there wasn't school on Friday (so now the parents got the sugar loaded kids all day-yea!).

Trunk or Treat:

The boys invited their friends and got tons of candy.  Then there was hot chocolate to drink and weirdly shepard's pie.

Halloween:

Yes Ryan changed costumes and Garett refused to wear the mask.  Oh well, whatever makes them happy!  The last 2 were very cranky on Halloween so we went out right at 5:30 and just did a few houses.  Adam went with his friend and Dad stayed home.
