Garett's First Day of Preschool

Garett is so excited to be in school! 

He actually started earlier in September- I just haven't been quick to update this blog.

His teachers are Ms. Karla and Ms. Shireen and he loves it!

Family Photo Time!

I LOVE pictures. And I really mean LOVE.  I love to look at them, take them, scrapbook them, make big posters with them, you name it I love it.

Maytag Blue Cheese

When visitors come we go all out.  Taking them to all the spectacular sites around Iowa.  ;)

When my parents were here I took them to the Maytag Bleu Cheese factory in Newton, Ia.  It's a short little tour, but the cheese is really good.

We are so thankful Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!  We love them and love having them in our home.

Are You Raady For Some Football?

Ryan has been dying to play football.  So I signed him up.  He was not too happy it is flag football instead of tackle, but being that he is 6 I think it's just right.  And he still has a great time.

Labor Day

We decided to go for a fun trip to a lake for Labor day.  We swam and "tried" fishing then came back.

First Day of School

Adam started 4th grade this year with his teacher, Ms. Andrist.  He is in the gifted program and has started playing the violin.

Ryan started 1st grade this year with his teacher, Mrs. Davidson.  He is playing football this year.

Plane Ride Home

I love airports.  I love waiting in line to get scanned.  I love the TSA.  I love it when flights get delayed and you're stuck at the airport forever.  It's great.  Especially with kids.

The Denver airport is the best.  It just has to be known for always being on time with no delays.

We thought we were smart this time.  We were not. 
We got to the Fresno airport.  And SURPRISE- delay.  The FAT is a very small airport.  There is nothing to do when you are stuck there.  And since it was maintenance with no estimated departure, we could not leave.  Delayed- 2 hours.  Score: Mays 0 Airline 1

We had a 4 hour layover in Denver.  Denver is always a problem.  Do you think we made it in time for our connecting flight?  Nope.  Missed it by 15 minutes.  Mays 0 Airline 2

So we had to wait until 8pm.  4 hour layover.  Mama not happy.  Dada not happy.  Kids- pretty good for being at the airport ALL DAY.  Mays 1 Airline 2

 Thankfully DIA has food to eat. 

Got on our plane to Des Moines.  Drove home.  Went to bed.  Yeah it was 1am.  Mays 1 Airline 3 Well played air industry.  Well played.
