We stopped at a rest area- near a range of mts. called like Devils' something. It was hot. There was no shade. And this was the last "stop" for like 300 miles. There were other exits but I have NO IDEA where they led to. Probably certain death. It reminds me at the end of Cars when the traveling cars show up in the desert. That is probably what would happen if you took any of those exits.

One of many photos of Garett not being cooperative. "I don't wanna" (as in get out of the car) as he proceeds to climb in the back on all our gear.
Hey look- shade! Made by our van.
CO was a lot cooler
And then we got to Apple Valley, UT which bytheway does NOT have any apples. We wondered if it had any people as we reached the sign and there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING around. But we kept going strong and found the little city that our good friends THE HURSTS live in!!! I was soooooo excited to see one of my favorite peeps Jenny again!
Jon's parents own a home not far from their's that has an incredible back yard:
These 2 became buddies
I tried to catch this better- Garett was calling him his buddy and walking with his arm around Benjamin- too cute!
The Hursts were so nice to let us crash at their place! The view at night of the stars was amazingly breathtaking!
The next day we headed out with our buddies ;) to Zion National Park. You park at the entrance and then take a bus to the different hikes. We chose a small one with all our little men with us.
Sliding races
We had to get going to make it to our next stop by the night. On the way out we saw these weird towers on the mts. that Jon had told us were used back in the day to test ejector seats on monkeys. Haha.
