The boys do chores each week and if they do them all without complaining they get an allowance. The boys had a few days off school and Neal told them if they raked leaves they could earn more money. The boys were so excited to do it, unfortunately we have a ton of leaves and it took us 2-3 hours to just rake the side of our yard. And to make matters worse, our neighbor's tree lost all it's leaves the next day leaving even more leaves all over the lawn, so we will have to do this all over again. And again later when our oak tree loses its leaves. Never ending...
They were proud of the big pile they raked:
Aren't they cute! And they'll get to do it again!
So things have been really busy around here. In fact I've been pretty stressed. I keep telling myself, 'just get through this month, next will be better' and then the next month is even busier. So then I had the hope that next year after the holidays would be less chaotic. Well now that hope is dashed. Neal has a new calling! He got called to be a high councilor. I keep teasing him that now he is officially an old man :) But with my calling as young women's president I have a feeling that we are just at the beginning of a very busy year. Yikes! Congrats though old-man Neal ;)
